Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a Meat Department team member to assist in daily cutting of fresh beef, pork, and grind, and to follow the production schedule for advertised cuts. Weekend availability is required, with shifts from 5am to 4pm Sunday through Saturday.

You will assist in writing fresh meat orders, organize deliveries, stock and condition meat, clean the cut room, and uphold safety and sanitation standards while providing friendly service to customers and supporting leadership.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with weights and measure processes specific to meat processing.
• Ability to understand and follow specific safety and sanitation procedures.
• Experience in product presentation and packaging.
• Experience using Computer Assisted Ordering applications.
• Current handjack/hilo license.
• Experience with inventory control procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist in writing fresh meat orders and ensuring accuracy.
• Organize and check in fresh meat deliveries.
• Stock and condition meat in department and maintain cleanliness.
• Sanitize meat cut room and uphold sanitation standards.
• Maintain positive relationships with customers, team members, and leadership.
