Job summary

Saras Market Bakery is seeking a Meat Cutter to cut, tray, weigh and package meat and some seafood for displays while delivering outstanding guest service.

You will follow applicable safety and sanitation regulations, maintain clean cases, demonstrate product knowledge, and perform duties with a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays. Expect to inspect quality, handle knives safely, work in a fast-paced environment and lift up to 50lbs.

Summary/Objective

A Meat Cutter performs duties in cutting, displaying, packaging and selling meat. Follows safe food handling practices and provides a high level of guest service.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding guest service.
• Cut, tray, weigh and package meat and some seafood for displays.
• Follow and comply with all applicable procedures and regulations, including Weights and Measures, FDA, health and sanitation, Department of Labor, ADA, HAACP, OSHA and safe work practices.
• Keep all cases and shelves clean, well-stocked and properly rotated.
• Demonstrate product knowledge; maintain awareness of new products.
• Performs other duties as assigned by Store Leadership
