Job summary

Zuppardos Economical Supermarkets in Metairie, LA is seeking a Meat Cutter to join its team. You will break down beef, pork, poultry, and other meat products into cuts, weigh portions, and assist with sausages and cured meats. You’ll ensure refrigeration safety and sanitation while delivering helpful cooking tips to customers.

They must be detail orientated and able to multitask and complete assignments, while providing excellent customer service. In this role, you break down beef, pork, poultry, and other meat products into various cuts before weighing out portions to sell. You also help prepare specialty items, such as sausages and cured meats. You must follow all refrigeration safety and manufacturing sanitation. As a meat cutter, you may also provide customers with advice about proper cooking techniques.
