Job summary

Stauffers of Kissel Hill is hiring for a part-time Team Member at our Rohrerstown Fresh Foods location. The role requires open availability from 7am-5pm with weekends, and involve cutting, wrapping, and displaying meat products to SKH specifications.

You will help prepare specialty items and assist customers, while maintaining clean, well-organized displays. Team members enjoy training opportunities, leadership classes, and benefits starting with weekly pay and staff discounts.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Cut, wrap and display meat & poultry per SKH specs.
• Prepare specialty items like sausage, patties, kebabs.
• Assist with orderly displays and price signs.
• Take customer orders and ensure products are ready on time.
• Rotate stock and keep area clean and organized.

• Able to multi-task or adjust work focus regularly, to work with various different meat products simultaneously, ie beef, pork, chicken.
• Cuts, wraps and displays meat & poultry products according to SKH specifications.
• Prepares specialty items, such as sausage, patties, ka-bobs and others.
• Ties meat cuts by hand to form roasts.
• Writes orders or describes available specialty products, such as Turkeys for Thanksgiving.
• Cleans department area, including equipment, containers, storage areas, aisles, and display cases; keeping products and supplies well organized.
• Operates equipment, if needed (if over 18 years of age).
• Operates price scale with knowledge of current prices. Prices or changes price tags onmerchandise referring to price list and in coordination with scan department.
• Receives, opens, and unpacks cartons and crates of merchandise, checking invoice against items received. Promptly clears floor of all restocking equipment and debris.
• Rotates product according to departmental guidelines.
• Sets up advertising signs and displays merchandise in cases, on counters, or tables to attract customers and promote sales.
• Takes and processes customer orders according to customer request ensuring that product is ready on time.
• Takes inventory or examines merchandise on a regular basis, to identify items needing to be reordered or replenished.
• While performing the duties of this job, employees are regularly exposed to cold temperatures while working in or around the coolers.
• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 80 pounds.
