Job summary

Stauffers of Kissel Hill is seeking a part-time team member for our Lititz Fresh Foods location. The role runs roughly 7am–5pm with flexible weekends to fit store needs. Wage is $21.50 per hour, with weekly pay and team discounts.

We emphasize teamwork, respect, integrity, and on-the-job training. As part of our family-owned company, you will handle meat products, assist customers, and help with display and merchandising.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 80 pounds occasionally.
• Experience in food/grocery retail or meat department is preferred.
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Cut, wrap and display meat & poultry products according to SKH specifications.
• Prepare specialty items such as sausage, patties, ka-bobs and other items.
• Assist with pricing, stocking, and displaying merchandise to promote sales.
• Take customer orders, assist customers, and ensure ready-on-time fulfillment.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the department area and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Able to multi-task or adjust work focus regularly, to work with various different meat productssimultaneously, ie: beef, pork, chicken.
• Cuts, wraps and displays meat & poultry products according to SKH specifications.
• Prepares specialty items, such as sausage, patties, ka-bobs and others.
• Ties meat cuts by hand to form roasts.
• Writes orders or describes available specialty products, such as Turkeys for Thanksgiving.
• Cleans department area, including equipment, containers, storage areas, aisles, and displaycases; keeping products and supplies well organized.
• Operates equipment, if needed (if over 18 years of age).
• Operates price scale with knowledge of current prices. Prices or changes price tags onmerchandise referring to price list and in coordination with scan department.
• Receives, opens, and unpacks cartons and crates of merchandise, checking invoice againstitems received. Promptly clears floor of all restocking equipment and debris.
• Rotates product according to departmental guidelines.
• Sets up advertising signs and displays merchandise in cases, on counters, or tables to attractcustomers and promote sales.
• Takes and processes customer orders according to customer request ensuring that product is ready on time.
• Takes inventory or examines merchandise on a regular basis, to identify items needing to bereordered or replenished.

Qualifications

• While performing the duties of this job, employees are regularly exposed to cold temperatures whileworking in or around the coolers.
• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 80 pounds.
