Primary Duties And Responsibilities
- Fill the display case and make the necessary separations of the different products (dairy, seafood, chicken and meat).
- Prepare marinades.
- Make chicharrón, barbacoa y carnitas.
Make different cuts of meat (Mexico / U.S.).
- Manage inventory.
- Manage temperatures.
- Apply health standards.
- Clean the meat market area in general, including freezers.
- Optimize sales.
- Keep the freezer clean and organized.
- Work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Keep work area clean, orderly and free from safety hazards.
- Report faulty equipment and hazards to management.
- PERFORM ANY OTHER TASK ASSIGNED BY THE STORE MANAGER.
Minimum Requirements
- 2 years of experience as a meat cutter.
- Ability to read at an eighth-grade level.
- Basic knowledge of mathematics (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division).
- Knowledge of the weight measurements.
- Ability to use the scales.
- Knowledge of Mexican meat cuts.
- Knowledge of carnitas, barbacoa y chicharrón.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
