Meat Cutter – Ft. Lauderdale, FL
Starting pay: $16-18/hr. Schedule: AM and PM shifts.

Position Summary
Responsible for portioning and merchandising all boneless meat products.
Essential Functions
- Work with supervisors and production managers to schedule production.
- Clean, trim, slice, and portion subprimals of beef, pork, lamb, and veal for future processing.
- Inspect meat products for defects, bruises, or blemishes.
- Accurately read and comprehend all customer specific special instructions.
- Perform quality control checks and communicate with supervisors and manager any defects.
- Separate meats and byproducts into specified containers and seal containers.
- Use knives, cleavers or other equipment to perform meat cutting and trimming.
- Weigh meats and tag containers for weight and contents.
- Follow company’s detailed product specifications.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
- Working knowledge of production equipment.
- Ability to portion all boneless cuts of meat in an accurate and timely manner.
- Ability to reduce processing costs while meeting customer specs and maintaining good yields.
- Ability to problem‑solve trimming and product substitutions.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure, challenging environment.
- Team player with a positive attitude.
- Effective communication skills, written and verbal, in English.
- Understanding of the Meat Buyer’s Guide specifications and company internal product specifications.
- Follow company’s quality control procedures.
