Job summary

Meijer is hiring for a meat handler role to support daily fresh meat operations. You will assist with writing fresh meat orders, organize and check in deliveries, and maintain positive relationships with customers and team members while following safety standards.

Experience with weights, measures, safety procedures, and inventory control will help you meet production schedules and maintain quality in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Familiarity with weights and measure processes specific to meat processing.
• Ability to understand and follow specific safety and sanitation procedures.
• Experience in product presentation and packaging.
• Experience using Computer Assisted Ordering applications.
• Current handjack/hilo license.
• Experience with inventory control procedures.

This position assists in the daily cutting of fresh beef, pork, and grind. The individual also follows the production schedule to meet requirements for advertised fresh meat cuts.
