Job summary

El Super is seeking a Meat Clerk - #60 Albuquerque to join our Store Operations Team. The Meat Clerk will provide friendly, courteous service, assist customers, and maintain the meat display cases.

They will work with the Meat Cutter on special orders and ensure displays are clean and rotated properly. Candidates should be able to lift up to 50–60 pounds, stand and bend for extended periods, and possess basic PC/Outlook skills.

Qualifications

• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, shelf tags, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
• Apply common sense understanding to detailed written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently up to 45, occasionally up to 60 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Under direct supervision, the Meat Clerk provides friendly, courteous and helpful customer service.
• Assists customers, cleans shelves and display cases.
• Cleans, fills, and rotates Meat Wrap displays and takes special orders with the Meat Cutter.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs., bend, stand and stoop for prolonged periods.
