The Meat Clerk

Employment: Part-time
Pay: $13.00 per Hour

Responsibilities

• Greets and waits on customers and thanks them upon their complete satisfaction
• Slices and weighs meat orders to the satisfaction of the customer
• Maintains and stocks all designated department areas
• Cleans all department equipment periodically throughout the shift and at close of business
• Always maintains cleanliness and sanitation throughout department areas
• Sets up and tears down all required areas at designated times
• Communicates departmental or store promotions to customers
• Will be present at the workstation at the start of the shift
• Complies fully with all safety policies and procedures
• Adheres to the Customer Service pledge at all times
• Maintains a neat, professional appearance at all times while working and strictly adheres to the dress code policy
• Attendance at job is essential to the overall function of the department
• Complies with all policies contained within the employee handbook
• All areas as designated within the essential functions of job responsibilities

Qualifications

• No minimum educational requirement needed
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must be able to lift 40 pounds
• Must be able to calculate figures and amounts such as pounds and weight increments
• Ability to hear, speak, and understand spoken words
• Ability to read, write, analyze, interpret, and understand the English language with sufficient proficiency
• Must frequently stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch and taste or smell
• Must regularly stand and utilize full hand and digit functions, reaching with hands and arms while manipulating objects
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distant vision, and color vision with the ability to adjust focus
