Job summary

Fiesta Mart in Houston (Store 007, Bellaire/Hillcroft) is hiring a Meat Clerk to deliver friendly service, stock meat displays, and help customers with special orders.

Under supervision, you will lift up to 60 lbs, stand for long periods, and maintain clean displays. A Food Handler Card is required. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus, reflecting our diverse community. This role supports Fiesta Mart's mission within Chedraui USA.

Qualifications

• Read and write Spanish/English; interact with general public and co-workers.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, shelf tags, short memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information in one-on-one or small group situations to customers and staff.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 60 pounds; stand and bend for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, courteous and helpful customer service.
• Clean shelves, and display cases; rotate Meat Wrap displays.
• Assist customers with special orders and coordinate with Meat Cutter on items to be cut.
• Maintain food safety practices; refer to Food Handler Card requirements.
• Assist with lifting and movement duties as needed in a fast-paced grocery environment.
