Fred Meyer is seeking to fill meat department duties to prepare and display meat merchandise according to company standards. You will wait on customers, provide service, and uphold safety and cleanliness across sales areas. Weekend/holiday availability is required to support store operations.

Qualifications

• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Able to read shelf tags, signs and product labels.
• Qualified and able to operate power and various job tools (automatic wrapper, slicer, grinder, power saw, and jack).
• Must work safely with various chemically based cleaning solutions.
• Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to calmly handle stressful situations and make a positive impression on associates and customers.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and display meat merchandise to company standards.
• Wait on customers and provide customer services.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of sales areas, backrooms and coolers.
• Unloading trucks and preparing merchandise for sale.
• Ensure inventory levels and freshness of products.
