Job summary

Kroger is seeking a Meat department helper to perform general clean-up and stock work while delivering friendly customer service. You will greet customers, assist with product placement, and maintain cleanliness and safety across shelves and coolers.

Responsibilities include temperature checks, ensuring freshness, adhering to company policies, and operating the cash register as needed. Weekend and holiday availability is preferred.

Qualifications

• Willing to work weekends and holidays.
• Demonstrates effective written and verbal communication skills that engage customers and associates.
• Able to read shelf tags, signs, product labels, training materials, and bulletins.
• Ability to multi-task, set priorities, present information professionally.

Responsibilities

• Wait on customers and greet them with good quality food.
• Be prompt, tactful, calm, courteous, and professional in all interactions.
• Must communicate with customers and associates.
• Maintain clean, neat, and friendly impressions for customers.
• Unload and store merchandise, prepare and display foods per standards.
• Perform temperature monitoring and ensure product quality and safety.
• Keep sales areas, backrooms, and coolers clean and organized.
