Job summary

Fiesta Mart in Houston, TX is seeking a Meat Clerk for Store 050 Houston-Lockwood. You will provide friendly customer service at the meat counter, stock displays, take special orders, and work with the Meat Cutter to prepare items.

The job requires lifting up to 50 lbs and a willingness to work in a fast-paced grocery environment. Spanish/English literacy is important for interacting with customers and coworkers, and a food handler card is required for food handling tasks.

Qualifications

• Read and write Spanish/English; interact with the public and coworkers.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information to customers and employees.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, courteous customer service at the Meat Clerk counter.
• Clean shelves, and rotate displays; maintain meat wrap displays.
• Take special orders and coordinate with the Meat Cutter for item preparation.
• Must lift up to 50 lbs; work in a fast-paced grocery environment.
