Job summary

El Rancho Supermercado in Lewisville, TX is seeking a Meat Clerk to support the Meat Department with high level customer service, safe food handling, and a variety of tasks.

The role includes stocking and merchandising in both fresh and frozen sections, updating pricing, ensuring quality and proper rotation, and rewrapping meat as needed. You will help maintain clean displays and work early shifts starting at 5:00 am.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and work in a retail environment.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Meat Clerk\'s role is to assist and support the Meat Department -- by providing a high level of customer service and practice safe food handling procedures and performs a variety of tasks.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Will have stocking and merchandising responsibilities in both the fresh and frozen cases.
• Update Product pricing as necessary.
• Ensures product\'s quality, protections, accuracy, and proper rotation in coolers.
• Rewrap meat packages as needed.
• Maintains a safe and clean working environment to ensure compliance with safety and sanitation requirements.
• Maintains pork rind rack clean and organized.
• Keeps meat displays clean and presentable.
• Store cleaning supplies properly.
• 5:00 am start time.
• Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
