Job summary

El Super in Fontana, CA is hiring a Meat Clerk for Store #31 Fontana - Foothill. Starting rate is $16.90 per hour.

Under direct supervision, the Meat Clerk provides friendly, courteous service, assists customers, stocks shelves and displays, and handles special orders with the Meat Cutter. The position requires lifting up to 50 lbs. and standing for prolonged periods in a fast-paced grocery environment.

Qualifications

• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product pricing codes, shelf tags, and short correspondence.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., and stand or move for prolonged periods.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, courteous customer service and assist customers.
• Clean shelves and display cases; rotate and fill meat wrap displays.
• Work with customers on special orders and coordinate with the Meat Cutter to determine items to cut.
• Maintain safe work practices and comply with store policies.
