Job summary

El Super, part of the Chedraui USA group, is seeking a Meat Clerk at the Rialto #35 store in California. The role focuses on delivering friendly customer service, maintaining meat displays, and assisting with special orders.

Starting rate is $16.90 per hour, with typical expectations for lifting heavy items in a fast-paced grocery environment. Join the El Super team in Rialto to help provide fresh products, rotate displays, and support the Meat Cutter.

Qualifications

• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, product pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
• Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Under direct supervision, the Meat Clerk provides friendly, courteous and helpful customer service.
• Assists the customers, clean shelves, and display cases.
• Cleans, fills, and rotates the Meat Wrap displays.
• Works with customers to take special orders as well as with the Meat Cutter to determine which items need to be cut.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs., Bend, stand and stoop for prolonged periods.
