Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Under direct supervision, provide friendly, courteous customer service and assist customers.
• Clean shelves and display cases, and rotate displays as needed.
• Work with customers on special orders and with the Meat Cutter for item preparation.
• Lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods during shifts.
• Maintain a fast-paced grocery store environment and follow safety protocols.

The Opportunity

Under direct supervision, the Meat Clerk provides friendly, courteous, and helpful customer service. Assists customers, cleans shelves, and displays cases. Cleans, fills, and rotates the Meat Wrap displays. Works with customers to take special orders as well as with the Meat Cutter to determine which items need to be cut. Must be able to lift 50 lbs., bend, stand, and stoop for prolonged periods. The working environment is typical for a fast‑paced grocery store, and essential functions of this job include physical requirements such as lifting, standing, walking, and kneeling as well as visual and auditory requirements.

Food Handler Card or its equivalent certification is required for all positions related to preparation, handling, and serving food.
