Job Description

Perform general clean-up and stock work in the Meat department and provide customer service. Demonstrate the company’s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.

Responsibilities

1. Wait on customers and counter promptly and cheerfully. Greet customers and provide them with good quality food.
2. Be prompt, tactful, calm, courteous, and professional in all interactions.
3. Must be able to communicate with customers and associates.
4. Make a clean, neat, and friendly impression on customers.
5. Unload and store merchandise, prepare and display foods in accordance with company standards, recipes, and policies.
6. Perform required temperature monitoring.
7. Monitor product quality; ensure it is always fresh and safe.
8. Keep sales areas, backrooms, and coolers clean and well organized.
9. Keep floors clean, safe, and free from clutter.
10. Wash and sanitize cookware and utensils in accordance with company and Health Department policies and procedures.
11. Maintain proper signage, product rotation, freshness, quantity, quality, and proper space allocation for merchandise.
12. Maintain equipment and facilities properly and safely in accordance with company policies and procedures.
13. Adhere to company policies and procedures, as well as State and Federal laws.
14. Operate cash register in accordance with company procedures, as applicable.
15. Work cooperatively in high-paced and sometimes stressful environments.
16. Manage conflict in a reasonable, nonconfrontational, and cooperative manner.
17. Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
18. Follow directions and seek assistance when necessary to resolve customer and business issues.
19. Support and assist through direct interaction with minors, individuals with special needs, and/or older adults.
20. Perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.

Qualifications

Minimum

• Willing to work weekends and holidays.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read shelf tags, signs, product labels, training materials, and bulletins.
• Ability to multi-task, set priorities, and work with all levels of the organization.
• Personal initiative and follow-through.
• Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to safely use cleaning solutions, sharp tools, and operate all production equipment.
