Job description

In this role, you will work alongside a team to educate our customers on different types and cuts of meat to complete their meals, and ensure the freshest meat products are available throughout the day. What will I do?

• Provide excellent customer service
• Keep shelves and service counters stocked with fresh products
• Take orders and prepare items for display by cutting, packaging, and labeling products
• Unload deliveries and stock cases, displays, and backroom coolers with new and existing products/inventory

Work Environment: The physical demands of this work are classified as medium. Work includes walking, standing for up to 4 hours without a break, repetitive hand and arm movements, occasional heavy lifting, bending, reaching, including lifting above shoulder height, along with continuous interaction with customers and coworkers in a fast-paced environment. Items lifted typically weigh 15–40 pounds, with occasional lifts over 50 pounds with assistance. Moderate upper extremity repetition and trunk movement involving twisting, bending, and pivoting are required. Exposure to allergens and cold temperatures (33–55°F) is possible. Equipment used includes box cutters, utility carts, scales, meat knives, and band saws.

Minimum Requirements: Collective customer service experience, preferably in food service, grocery, or retail; knowledge of different cuts of meat and poultry.
