COMPENSATION:

Hourly Pay Range: $16.70 - $21.55. This position is covered under the UFCW union agreement.

JOB SUMMARY:

Assist customers with purchases in the meat department, offer preparation and serving suggestions, maintain stock levels in display cases, and process meat department products, including clean-up, safety, and sanitation of equipment and the department.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist customers with product purchases and other services such as slicing, grinding, repackaging, serving suggestions, and cooking procedures.
• Wrap, scale, trim, price, and update prices of all meat department products according to company procedures, policies, and applicable laws and regulations.
• Maintain proper supply of products in cases and packaged deli through rotation and display standards.
• Clean and sanitize wrapping, scaling, and production equipment regularly.
• Ensure proper knowledge of product preparation, storage, and identification.
• Order and inventory products and supplies as assigned.
• Perform other related duties as required.

REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma preferred but not required.
• Valid Health Card.
• Ability to read equipment manuals, shelf tags, prices, and labels.
• Efficient hand-eye coordination and basic math skills.
• Good judgment in dealing with customers and co-workers.
• Maintain a sense of integrity.
