Job Description
Perform general clean-up and stock work in the Meat department and provide customer service. Demonstrate the company’s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.
Responsibilities
- Wait on customers and counter promptly and cheerfully. Greet customers and provide them with good quality food.
- Be prompt, tactful, calm, courteous, and professional in all interactions.
- Communicate effectively with customers and associates.
- Make a clean, neat, and friendly impression on customers.
- Unload and store merchandise, prepare and display foods according to company standards, recipes, and policies.
- Perform temperature monitoring.
- Monitor product quality to ensure it is always fresh and safe.
- Keep sales areas, backrooms, and coolers clean and well-organized.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of floors and work areas.
- Wash and sanitize cookware and utensils per company and Health Department policies.
- Maintain proper signage, product rotation, freshness, and space allocation.
- Ensure proper maintenance and safety of equipment and facilities.
- Follow company policies, procedures, and applicable laws.
- Operate cash register as per procedures.
- Work effectively in a high-paced and sometimes stressful environment.
- Manage conflicts in a nonconfrontational manner.
- Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
- Follow directions and seek assistance when needed.
- Support and assist customers, including minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
- Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
Qualifications
Minimum
- Willing to work weekends and holidays.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to read shelf tags, signs, labels, and training materials.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work professionally with all levels.
- Personal initiative and follow-through.
- Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Safe handling of cleaning solutions, sharp tools, and equipment.

- Experience in food preparation.
