Heinen’s, Inc. in Glenview is seeking a Meat Associate/Meat Production to support daily meat department operations, including order writing, temperature control, and teamwork to meet production targets.

You will learn sourcing and culinary tips while maintaining standards and contributing to a strong customer experience. This role offers promotional opportunities and growth within the company.

Qualifications

• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Frequent lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Willingness to work non-traditional five-day schedule, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize daily work based on varying business needs.
• Monitor and maintain all food handling and temperature standards.
• Acquire and share knowledge of Meat Department such as sourcing and culinary tips.
• Responsible for writing orders using effective pars and planning.
• Work as a team to complete daily tasks including scanning and recording shrink, order writing, raw production, incidental cutting, stocking, rotating and merchandising.
• Comply with all personal and food safety company standards.
• Attend required corporate meetings and training classes.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
