Job summary

SpartanNash is hiring for a Meat Associate to support production, packaging and stocking of meat products in our Elkhart, Indiana stores. You will follow program plans for labeling, rotation and shelf presentation while maintaining safety guidelines and guest experience standards.

The role requires the ability to read and interpret documents, perform basic math, and work effectively in a team. Prior retail meat experience is preferred, with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.

Qualifications

• One year of retail or related experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents.
• Detail oriented with strong math skills.
• Follow PPE, safety and food safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and produce meat products according to plan.
• Package and label meat products per program plan.
• Merchandise meat products per flight plan.
• Stock backroom with meat products; rotate and date cases.
• Notify Meat Manager when products or supplies need ordering.
• Work as a team with other departments and stores.
• Communicate recipes, weights and cleaning steps to team.
• May be assigned tasks in other departments as needed.
