Job summary

Diversity-Vuteq in Indiana seeks a QA Inspector to monitor product quality during manufacturing, perform audits, and inspect process control points as defined by the company.

You will measure parts to specification, document QA concerns daily, develop standards for measurement, design sampling procedures, and maintain APQP/PPAP documentation for new projects; you will also train others and ensure the DV quality management system is followed.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • ASQ CQT, CQA, CQE are assets.
  • 1+ years of field experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Measurement of parts to assure quality to specification.
  • Responsible for complete and accurate daily documentation of all QA concerns in the quality laboratory.
  • Develops and initiates standards and methods for measurement and evaluation.
  • Devises sampling procedures and designs and develops forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data.
  • Maintains customer required documentation related to APQP and PPAP activities on all new projects.
  • Review customer websites daily for updates.
  • Develops measurement instruction and trains others in methods of measurement of parts.
  • Controls document and data requirements under the DV quality management system.
  • Other duties may be required ensuring that Diversity-Vuteq meets and exceeds our customer expectations and needs.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Measurement of parts to assure quality to specification
  • Responsible for complete and accurate daily documentation of all QA concerns which arise in the quality laboratory
  • Develops and initiates standards and methods for measurement and evaluation
  • Devises sampling procedures and designs and develops forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data

Experience

  • Able to pass a colorblind test or have a passed colorblind test completed and documented
  • Must be comfortable with reading and comprehending spreadsheets
  • Demonstrate reading comprehension and understanding through comprehensive testing
  • Demonstrate proficiency in basic math skills with or without an assistive device through comprehensive and periodic testing
  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and stoop up to 12 hours daily
  • Able to lift a maximum of 50 pounds as needed throughout the day
  • Willingness to cross train in multiple areas
  • Be a team player and willing to work overtime as needed
