Job summary

Energy Transfer in Ohio seeks a Measurement Technician to maintain liquid meters, provers, and calibration devices, ensuring accurate custody transfers of crude oil. You will perform installations, calibrations, and inspections in a safety-focused, regulated environment.

You will coordinate with pipeline scheduling, control rooms, and maintenance teams to optimize prover operations and device performance. A high school diploma or GED and EPA/DOT/OSHA/API/GPA knowledge are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Knowledge of EPA, DOT, OSHA, NEC, API and GPA requirements and procedures.
• Work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication skills to interface with our customer base.
• PC skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 - Outlook, Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Install, calibrate, and maintain pipeline measurement systems within an assigned Ohio area to provide accurate custody transfers of Crude Oil.
• Calibrate meters to determine meter factors using provers (fixed or portable) on an established proving schedule or as directed.
• Coordinate work with pipeline scheduling and control center departments to ensure provings are made at meaningful flow rates.
• Establish a daily work schedule reflecting movements through meters to maintain a 40-hour week.
• Enter data into SAP and other systems for maintenance and billing.
• Inspect and repair measurement equipment, provers, meters, and related devices.
• Support safety and regulatory compliance in all tasks.
• Assist engineers with field inspections and equipment changes as needed.
• Maintain required driving license and pass OQ certification tests.
• Prepare reports and communicate status of work to supervision.
