Job summary

Paycom seeks a MEASUREMENT TECHNICIAN to test and maintain gas meters, regulators and related equipment in Oklahoma City. You will assist with installations, perform accuracy tests and uphold safety and regulatory standards.

The role involves field work, equipment calibration, and collaboration with various departments to resolve measurement discrepancies. Candidate should have basic industry knowledge, strong communication, and the ability to work independently while complying with EPA/DOT/OSHA

Qualifications

• Must test, maintain and repair measurement equipment to meet standards.
• Knowledge of the oil and gas industry is required.
• Basic computer skills including Word, Excel, and Email.
• Ability to think critically and evaluate solutions.
• Pass pre-employment drug screen and MVR/background check.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Familiarity with EPA, DOT, OSHA and related requirements helps.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication to interface with customers.
• Basic configuration, calibration and testing of EFMs (Total Flow, ROC).
• Able to lift about 50 lbs occasionally and stand/walk frequently.
• Occasional overnight travel may be required.

Job Details: Job Location: Oklahoma City, OK 73173, Position Type: Full Time, MEASUREMENT TECHNICIAN

• This position tests & maintains gas meters, regulators and relief valves, RTU & SCADA equipment and related communication equipment, valves and valve operators and gas filters in a manner to meet the customer’s operational needs while ensuring compliance with partnership and regulatory requirements
• Assists with new meter installations, preventative maintenance, and field solutions for measurement related problems in compliance with applicable specifications, codes, safety standards and operating procedures
• Perform periodic accuracy tests including the calibration, inspection and maintenance of all equipment related to quality and quantity determination. Adheres to company standards of documentation
• Performs plate changes and general upkeep of the end devices
• Collect gas samples in compliance with partnership safety and industry guidelines
• Visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment
• Coordinates with the customers Measurement Department and Production Department as required and provides support for gas volume discrepancies. Assists in volume recover by providing information
• Performs other duties as assigned by customer and/or the company
• Participate in partnership safety program and initiatives

Qualifications:

• Basic knowledge of the maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of various types of measurement equipment
• Basic knowledge of the oil and gas industry
• Basic Computer Skills (Word, Excel, Email, etc.)

• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen and MVR/background check
• High school diploma or GED
• Knowledge of applicable EPA, DOT, RRC, OSHA, NEC, AGA, API and GPA requirements and procedures

• Basic Configuration, Calibration & Testing of the following EFM’s:
• Total Flow: 1 year
• ROC: 1 year
• Lifting to 50 lbs. occasionally
• Driving, walking, standing frequently
• Exposure to adverse weather, cramped conditions and some heavy lifting
• Occasional overnight travel may be required
