Job summary

KINETIK is seeking a Measurement Technician in Artesia, NM to install, operate and maintain gas and liquid measurement systems. You will calibrate meters, collect samples and ensure data accuracy while adhering to safety policies.

The role requires a high school diploma, a valid driver license, and familiarity with EFMs, meters and related software such as TESTit. Overtime and call-outs may be required depending on business needs.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid driver license with a clean driving record.
  • Familiarity with orifice meters and electronic flow meters; gas analysis experience preferred.
  • Ultrasonic and Coriolis meters experience preferred; gas/liquid chromatography experience preferred.
  • Competent knowledge of EFMs and test equipment.
  • Experience with testing and sampling input software such as TESTit.
  • Good communicator and capable with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

  • Install, operate and maintain measurement equipment safely and per policy and standards.
  • Operate a company vehicle responsibly and maintain facilities per industry standards.
  • Perform and witness testing and calibration of owned and third‑party meters.
  • Install, configure, troubleshoot, operate, maintain and calibrate meters and related equipment.
  • Collect gas and liquid samples following policy and standards.
  • Maintain records of daily activities and regulatory documentation for measurement systems.
  • Complete duties safely, professionally, with integrity and in compliance with laws and policy.

Job description

Schedule: Monday - Friday, available for overtime and call-outs as needed based on business necessity
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The Measurement Technician will install, operate and maintain, all measurement equipment safely and in accordance with Company Policy and applicable Industry Standards, to ensure accuracy and reliability of measurement data.

  • Operate a Company-owned vehicle in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Responsible for proper operation and maintenance of measurement facilities in accordance with industry standards and Kinetik procedures/policies.
  • Perform / Witness testing and calibration of owned and 3rd party meters.
  • Install, configure, troubleshoot, operate, maintain, inspect, test, and calibrate electronic flow meters, associated measurement and communications equipment (gas and liquid), control and relief valves.
  • Collect gas and liquid samples in accordance with policy and Industry Standards.
  • Maintain measurement and typical pipeline equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of daily activities, including critical safety and regulatory documentation as it pertains to measurement systems.
  • Perform any and all assigned duties in a safe, professional manner with the utmost integrity and in accordance with all applicable laws and Company policy.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Possess and maintain a valid driver license to include a safe driving record satisfactory to the company.
  • Must be familiar with orifice meters and electronic flow meters with some gas analysis experience.
    • Some experience with ultrasonic and Coriolis meters preferred.
    • Experience with Gas/Liquid Chromatographs preferred.
  • Competent knowledge of various types of EFMs and test equipment.
  • Experience with testing and sampling input software preferred (such as TESTit).
  • Good communicator, work planner with excellent work ethics and good background in computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards.
  • Ability to work effectively in all working conditions noted above.
  • Must be able to work outdoors in extreme weather and perform heavy lifting up to 62 pounds in a safe manner.
  • Available for overtime and call-outs as needed based on business necessity.
  • Outdoor work required with exposure to elements.
  • Driving, walking, standing frequently
