Job summary

Danos, LLC is seeking a Measurement Technician to ensure accurate oil and natural gas production measurements in the Midland, TX area. You will install, calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair measurement equipment in the field, supporting reliable flow, volume, pressure, and temperature readings.

You will work with EFMs, flow computers, and various meters (Coriolis, ultrasonic, turbine, orifice, and PD meters), perform meter proving, collect samples, and maintain regulatory documentation.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Oil & gas measurement experience preferred/required depending on level.
  • Experience installing, calibrating, maintaining, and troubleshooting measurement equipment.
  • Knowledge of Electronic Flow Measurement (EFM) systems and flow computers.
  • Experience with measurement equipment such as Coriolis, ultrasonic, turbine, orifice, and positive displacement meters.
  • Valid driver's license with the ability to travel independently between field locations.
  • Ability to work outdoors in oilfield environments and safely perform the physical requirements of the position.
  • Strong safety awareness and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Perform meter proving/calibrations and identify measurement discrepancies.
  • Collect oil/gas samples and maintain sampling systems.
  • Work with gas chromatographs and other gas-quality equipment.
  • Troubleshoot SCADA, communications, radios, antennas, and related instrumentation.
  • Review measurement data to identify inaccurate readings or equipment problems.
  • Maintain accurate measurement documentation and regulatory records.
  • Travel independently to field locations and respond to equipment or measurement issues.

Overview

A Measurement Technician is responsible for ensuring oil and/or natural gas production is measured accurately. They work in the field maintaining, calibrating, troubleshooting, and repairing the equipment used to measure flow, volume, pressure, temperature, and product quality
