Job summary

IntelliBee in Indianapolis, IN seeks a Measles Epidemiologist to advance epidemiologic surveillance, investigations, and applied studies. You will communicate findings to health departments, providers, and the public while supporting outreach initiatives and grant activities.

The role requires extensive public health experience, strong data analysis skills (EpiInfo/SAS/ArcGIS), and the ability to work across agencies. Travel is expected to client sites and events as needed.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in public health, epidemiology, biostatistics, or related field preferred or significant years of relevant work experience.
• Experience with large datasets and advanced analytics across surveillance systems.
• Proven ability to communicate findings to diverse audiences and prepare reports.
• Experience with grant or funding proposal writing is highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Maintain current knowledge of epidemiology and biology of diseases and public health topics.
• Provide epidemiologic consultation to local health departments, providers, and the public.
• Conduct routine disease surveillance and lead investigations of outbreaks.
• Design and conduct applied epidemiologic studies.
• Manage and analyze data from surveillance and studies.
• Prepare written and oral reports and presentations for partners.
• Deliver educational presentations and trainings to diverse audiences.
• Engage with the public at health fairs and outreach events.
• Participate in grant writing and funding proposals.
• Serve as backup to other staff as needed.
• Travel to client sites for visits and inspections.
• Recruit, onboard, and train staff; set expectations and evaluate performance.
