Job summary

State of IN is seeking a Measles Epidemiologist II to conduct comprehensive surveillance and analytical epidemiology to prevent measles morbidity and mortality among Indiana residents. The role involves on-site work at 2 N Meridian St, Indianapolis, with a hybrid arrangement (2 days in person, 3 remote) and potential travel on most workdays.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a relevant field required or substantial relevant experience.
• Public health experience 10+ years in a similar role required or substitution by education.
• Experience with surveillance systems and disease surveillance required.
• Experience with grant/funding proposal writing highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Maintain current knowledge of epidemiology and biology of diseases.
• Provide epidemiologic consultation to local health departments and partners.
• Conduct routine epidemiologic surveillance for diseases and public health topics.
• Lead/coodinate investigations of cases/outbreaks.
• Design and conduct applied epidemiologic studies.
• Manage and analyze data from surveillance and studies.
• Prepare written/oral reports for internal/external partners.
• Deliver educational presentations/trainings to diverse audiences.
