Job summary

Aramark in Pennsylvania is seeking a Food Service Worker to support the manager with meal preparation, record-keeping and daily reports. You will uphold high standards of sanitation and kitchen safety while preparing quality meals and beverages.

You will follow menus, manage food storage, serve meals on schedule, and ensure proper use of equipment. The role may require lifting and standing, and adherence to uniform guidelines is expected.

Qualifications

• Food service certificate or equivalent training acceptable
• Ability to read, write and follow verbal and written instructions
• Work quickly and concisely under pressure

Responsibilities

• Prepare quality food and baked goods according to a planned menu
• Prepare a daily report that verifies transactions
• Understand what is inclusive of a meal
• Ensure storage of food in an accurate and sanitary manner
• Serve food according to meal schedules, department policies and procedures
• Use and care of kitchen equipment, especially knives
• Timely preparation of a variety of food items and beverages
• Add garnishments to enhance presentation and customer happiness
• Assist in major cleaning of refrigerators, freezers, and cooking/serving equipment
• Adhere to all food safety regulations for sanitation, storage and handling
• Follow uniform policy
• Coordinate with the Manager daily to prepare the menu for the day
• Monitor cooking temperatures and maintain a clean work/storage area
• Scrub and sanitize counters, steam tables and equipment
• Maintain a clean, organized kitchen environment
• Duties may include sweeping, mopping and ware washing
• Manage garbage collection areas in a sanitary fashion
• Perform other duties as assigned including other kitchen areas
