Job summary

Refuge of Hope Ministries is seeking a Meal Ministry Assistant to support daily operation of our Community Meal Ministry, ensuring nutritious meals in a safe, welcoming, and Christ-centered environment.

You will assist with food preparation, meal service, volunteer coordination, and kitchen operations while upholding the dignity and care of every guest we serve.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic computer skills required for daily tasks.
• Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance if driving for Refuge of Hope.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, preparing, serving, and cleaning up nine community meals each week.
• Help supervise, train, and encourage volunteers serving in the Meal Ministry.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient commercial kitchen.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local foodsafety, sanitation, and health regulations.
• Help create a welcoming, safe, and respectful environment for guests, volunteers, and staff.
• Support other Meal Ministry and organizational needs as assigned.
• Demonstrate Refuge of Hope’s mission, vision, and Christian values in every interaction.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, preparing, serving, andcleaning up ninecommunity meals eachweek.
• Help supervise, train, and encourage volunteersserving in theMeal Ministry.
• Maintain a clean, organized, andefficient commercial kitchen.

Special Requirements

Must have a demonstrated commitment and adherence to understanding and implementing the mission, vision, core values, and philosophies of Refuge of Hope, a strong commitment to serve homeless, hungry, and those living in poverty and be able to professionally represent Refuge of Hope in a variety of settings and diverse communities.
