Job summary

Momentum Engineering, Inc. in Annapolis Junction, Maryland, seeks a System Automation Software Engineer to modernize a legacy operational system with a microservices architecture and cutting-edge technologies.

You will implement test automation using Cucumber and Playwright, execute load and performance tests, and collaborate in an Agile team to deliver reliable software for national security initiatives. A TS/SCI clearance is required.

Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with NSA Full Scope Polygraph.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline with 9+ years experience, or a Master's degree with 7+ years.
  • Experience with Playwright, Cucumber, JMeter, Swagger or similar API tools, Selenium; Cypress; 508 testing tools (JAWS/NVDA).

Responsibilities

  • Utilize a test framework to execute manual and automated tests.
  • Author tests with Cucumber and Playwright.
  • Design and implement microservices architectures, CI/CD, and automation frameworks.
  • Execute load, performance, chaos, functional and end-to-end testing.
  • Contribute to agile software development and delivery.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.

Job Summary
  • Seeking a System Automation Software Engineer to modernize a legacy operational system using a microservices-based architecture and cutting-edge technologies
Primary Responsibilities
  • Utilizing a test framework to execute manual and automated tests
  • Authoring tests utilizing Cucumber and Playwright
  • Knowledgeable in Microservices design & architecture, CI/CD, Test frameworks and automation, Agile Methodology
  • Execute load and performance testing, chaos testing, functional testing and end-to-end testing
  • Agile development and delivery of software
  • Communication and collaboration: Software Development is a team-oriented discipline. Engineers need to be able to communicate and collaborate effectively with other team members, as well as with stakeholders
Required Qualifications
  • Must have active Top Secret/SCI clearance with NSA Full Scope Polygraph
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, plus 9 years of experience, or a Master's degree plus 7 years of experience; or equivalent experience/combined education
Desired Qualifications (1+ of the below)
  • Playwright, Cucumber, JMeter, Swagger (or similar API tool), Selenium Tools: Cypress, 508 testing tools (JAWS or NVDA)

Exempt hourly position. 11 paid holidays, minimum of 3 weeks PTO, company sponsored group medical plan, company paid dental, vision, life insurance, and STD/LTD plans. Salary is dependent upon the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
