Project Harmony - Haven for Abuse Response Members in Omaha, NE seeks an experienced MDT Coordinator to coordinate child abuse and neglect case reviews, improve cross-agency communication, and ensure accountability within the multidisciplinary team. Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in social work, early childhood education, criminal justice, psychology or related field.
  • Training or experience in team facilitation and mediation skills is preferred.
  • Previous professional experience in early childhood encouraged.
  • Experience as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Experience related to investigation and treatment of child abuse cases.

Responsibilities

  • Review and coordinate child abuse/neglect cases to improve agency communication.
  • Assist county attorney with case reviews and MDT staffing needs.
  • Provide case coordination in Douglas County Juvenile Court as needed.
  • Attend court hearings and refer services to families and professionals.
  • Prepare and submit reports on MDT outcomes and protocols.
  • Input case information into the agency database in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with system partners and identify staff training needs.
  • Ensure culturally competent services regardless of background.
  • Participate in community committees and advisory boards.
