Job summary

North Shore Healthcare is seeking a Float MDS to coordinate the RAI process, ensuring accurate resident assessments and documentation aligned with Medicare/Medicaid/OBRA requirements. You will work to reflect true reimbursement for services and maintain timelines.

The role requires a Wisconsin RN license (in process acceptable) and MDS cycle knowledge, with PCC/microsoft skills and possible CMAC/RAC credential pursuit. A collaborative, fast-paced care environment is expected.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice in Wisconsin as an RN
• MDS credentialling (CMAC, RAC, etc) preferred or willing to complete course
• Working knowledge of the MDS assessment cycle and assessment information
• Computer proficiency with Microsoft products, PCC preferred

Responsibilities

• Ensure assessments reflect physical, mental and psychosocial status and reimbursements

Summary/Objective:

Responsible for the coordination of the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) process to ensure accurate and timely completion of resident assessments in accordance with

Medicare, Medicaid, OBRA and other payor program requirements. Ensures assessments accurately reflect the physical, mental and psychosocial status of each resident; ensures accuracy of RAI to reflect accurate reimbursement for services provided; ensures appropriate documentation is present to support services provided and assessment accuracy, etc.

Required Education and Experience

• Current license to practice in the State as an RN (or in process of obtaining RN)
• MDS credentialling (CMAC, RAC, etc) preferred or willing to complete course
• Working knowledge of the MDS assessment cycle and assessment information
• Computer proficiency with Microsoft products, PCC preferred

Preferred Education and Experience

• Experience in a fast-paced environment
• Post-acute care or health care experience preferred
