Job summary

Foremost at Sharon is seeking a Clinical Reimbursement Coordinator to oversee MDS processes, coordinate assessments, and manage reimbursement workflows in accordance with Federal and State regulations. The role requires Massachusetts RN or LPN licensure and at least 1 year as an MDS Coordinator.

You will collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure timely assessments, PPS/MDS updates, and accurate Medicare/insurance submissions, while supporting staff with training and cross-training

Qualifications

• Must have MA RN or LPN licensure.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as an MDS Coordinator.
• Strong communication, organizational, and assessment skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and facilitate resident assessments per Federal and State regulations.
• Establish assessment schedules and ensure timely, accurate assessments.
• Transmit assessments to the State of Connecticut, Department of Health.
• Coordinate resident care plans following regulatory requirements (MDS).
• Initiate Medicare coverage for new residents and send denial letters when needed.
• Stay updated on Medicare coverage changes and document required items for reimbursement.
• Coordinate MDS-related activities across PPS and OBRA, and educate staff.
