We are seeking an experienced and motivated Regional MDS Nurse to provide clinical assessment support across multiple skilled nursing communities. This position offers the opportunity to partner with facility leadership and interdisciplinary teams to ensure accurate resident assessments, regulatory compliance, and optimal clinical outcomes.
Provide oversight and support for the timely and accurate completion of MDS assessments across multiple locations.
Ensure adherence to all applicable federal, state, and payer guidelines related to resident assessments and reimbursement.
Educate, coach, and mentor facility-based clinical teams on MDS requirements, coding accuracy, and documentation standards.
Review assessment data and quality metrics to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and compliance concerns.
Communicate regulatory updates, best practices, and process improvements to facility leadership and clinical staff.
Support preparation for surveys, audits, and other regulatory reviews as needed.
Travel to assigned facilities to provide on-site consultation, training, and operational support.
Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
Minimum of five years of clinical experience in long-term care industry
Demonstrated expertise in MDS assessment completion, RAI process requirements, and reimbursement methodologies.
Strong understanding of federal and state regulations related to long-term care operations.
