Job summary

The Laurels of Hudsonville is seeking an experienced MDS Nurse to join our Michigan nursing team. You will assist with timely MDS/RAI completion, CAAs, care planning and documentation in accordance with federal and state regulations. Strong assessment skills and leadership are valued.

RN with one year of experience preferred, CPR certified, and knowledge of PDPM and ICD-10 coding will help you succeed. We offer a $20,000 sign-on bonus for full-time and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Prior MDS/RAI experience strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of RAI guidelines, PDPM, ICD-10 coding, Quality Measures, and Care Area Assessments and Care Planning processes.
• Knowledge of the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) process, including the principles of PPS and Case Mix systems.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
• Demonstrated ability in independent functioning and strong leadership.

Responsibilities

The MDS Nurse is responsible for assisting with the accurate and timely completion of the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI), including the Minimum Data Set (MDS), Care Area Assessments (CAAs), care planning and supporting documentation in accordance with federal and state regulations. This role ensures assessments reflect each resident’s clinical status and supports individualized care planning.

Education and/or Experience:

• Prior MDS/RAI experience strongly preferred
