Ohio Living is seeking an MDS Nurse (RN) to provide accurate documentation for resident assessments and care plans in alignment with regulatory standards. You will collaborate with the interdisciplinary team and oversee MDS transmission and scheduling to maximize reimbursement.

The role requires an Ohio RN license, 2+ years in long-term care, and strong EMR and documentation skills. Proficiency with Windows and Microsoft Office is expected.

Qualifikationen

• Nursing degree from an accredited college, university or vocational school.
• Current unencumbered license for the state of Ohio to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Two years experience with MDS preferred.
• Two years experience as a nurse in a long-term care facility required.
• Experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices required.
• Proficiency with Windows, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and the internet.
• Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Aufgaben

• Oversees the RAI process and submission process by validating and monitoring reports (EHDS).
• Plans, develops, organizes, and communicates assessment and care plan information to staff members to optimize resident care.
• Oversees computer data entry and electronic submission process for MDS transmission (EHDS).
• Oversees Medicare and managed care logs, directing insurance coverage, cut dates, and MDS schedules.
• Oversees resident and patient statuses to maximize reimbursement.
• Participates in care conferences.
• Attends surveys and audits of the facility and related documentation.
• Assists with insurance appeals by reviewing MDS documentation for consistency.
• Attends all-employee and departmental meetings and in-service training as scheduled.
