• 3 years of MDS experience in long-term care preferred.
• 3 years experience as a Nurse preferred for RN candidates without MDS experience.

Overview

Otterbein has an opportunity for an MDS Nurse. The MDS Coordinator is a critical member of the healthcare team responsible for all aspects of the MDS process, including care planning and meeting with families regarding the care of their loved ones.

Shift: Day Shift with on-call rotation

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate the development, completion, and transmission of assessments in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Review and manage reimbursement processes.
• Case manage care plans, including rehabilitative programs.
• Demonstrate knowledge of clinical standards, regulations, and reimbursement governing long-term care and Medicare.

Qualifications:

• Education: BSN preferred
• Licensure: Current OH RN or LPN license
• Experience: 3 years of MDS experience in long-term care/nursing home environment preferred. Experience in post-acute settings is a plus. For RN candidates without MDS experience, 3 years as a Nurse is preferred.
