Job summary

North Shore Healthcare in Wisconsin seeks a part-time MDS Coordinator to direct the RAI process, ensuring accurate assessments and compliant reporting for reimbursement. You will coordinate PPS, OBRA guidelines and documentation with attention to resident status and care plan alignment.

Responsibilities include maintaining timely assessments, regulatory compliance, and collaboration with the care team to optimize outcomes for residents and facilities. prior MDS experience preferred.

Qualifications

• RN licensed in the relevant state and in good standing.
• Clinical geriatrics experience or education.
• Demonstrated PPS assessment and OBRA knowledge.
• Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills.
• Excellent organization and independent decision making.
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations governing long-term care.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Computer proficiency with Microsoft products.

Responsibilities

• Direct and administer the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) process to ensure accurate and timely completion of resident assessments in accordance with Medicare, Medicaid, OBRA and other payor program requirements.
• Ensure assessments accurately reflect the physical, mental and psychosocial status of each resident; ensure accuracy of RAI to reflect optimal reimbursement for services provided; ensure appropriate documentation to report and support services provided and assessment accuracy.
