Job summary

Walter Reed Post Acute is hiring a full-time MDS Coordinator to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant MDS assessments that support resident care planning and reimbursement. You will supervise MDS data entry, address discrepancies, and collaborate with the DON and care teams.

The ideal candidate has an active RN license, 3+ years in long-term care, and proven MDS/RAI experience, with strong knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of clinical experience in a long-term care setting.
• Prior MDS/RAI experience required.
• Strong clinical assessment skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Working knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid regulations and reimbursement systems.

Responsibilities

• Complete MDS assessments timely and accurately according to regulations.
• Oversee MDS data entry, validation, and transmission for accuracy and timeliness.
• Investigate data discrepancies and resolution of validation issues.
• Prepare MDS reports for DON and leadership.
• Assist with audits and Medicare/Medicaid compliance.
