The VIOS Clinic is seeking an experienced MDS Coordinator RN to oversee the timely completion of the MDS, CAAs, and care planning in accordance with federal and state regulations. You will ensure accurate RAI processes and drive quality outcomes for residents.
In this role you will supervise MDS staff, train MDS nurses, assign work, and participate in performance evaluations and performance improvement initiatives.
The MDS Coordinator RN is responsible for managing the accurate and timely completion of Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) processes, including the Minimum Data Set (MDS), Care Area Assessments (CAAs), and care planning, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
Key duties include supervising staff, training MDS nurses, assigning work, preparing performance evaluations, resolving employee issues, and participating in performance improvement plans.
Applicants should have prior MDS/RAI experience, knowledge of RAI guidelines, PDPM, ICD-10 coding, and regulatory standards
Qualifications include a valid RN license, current CPR certification, strong organizational and leadership skills, and proficiency in computer applications
Supervisory experience is preferred, with an emphasis on independent functioning and strong communication abilities.
