Job summary

Dinwiddie Health & Rehab Center in Dinwiddie, VA is seeking an experienced MDS Coordinator (LPN) to lead the MDS/RAI process, ensure deadlines, and optimize reimbursement with accurate acuity coding.

You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, provide staff education, support quality improvement efforts, and help maintain regulatory compliance in line with federal, state, and local requirements.

Qualifications

• Current LPN license with the Virginia Board of Nursing.
• Two years’ experience with MDS process and/or RAC-CT certification preferred.
• Achieve and maintain active RAC-CT status as condition of continued employment.
• Flexible, detail-oriented, ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and be able to make effective decisions as part of a service-focused team.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to the interdisciplinary team for management of the MDS, Clinical Reimbursement, Care Plan processes and utilization management.
• Ensure MDS/RAI deadlines and accuracy requirements are met and coding reflects patient acuity for optimal reimbursement.
• Assist Center Leadership with Quality Improvement efforts, staff education, and regulatory compliance related to the RAI process, Quality of care, Reimbursement, and Quality Measures.
• Demonstrate and promote a positive, collaborative, and caring team environment.
