Job summary

The Tremont Rehabilitation and Skilled Care Center in Wareham is seeking an MDS Coordinator for a Monday–Friday 8a–4p schedule; weekends possible. LPN or RN license considered, with pay up to $50 per hour depending on license and experience.

As the MDS Director, you will plan, organize, and direct the MDS process, oversee resident care plans, review medical histories, conduct personal interviews, and complete MDS reports in compliance with CMS guidelines and privacy requirements.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Nursing Degree from an accredited school of nursing, college or university.
• Must possess a current, unencumbered license to practice as an RN/LPN in this state.
• Prior experience in MDS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordination of MDS process
• Oversees ADL training for facility and staff.
• Issues and delivers denial notices timely and appropriately.
• Complete and transmit all CMS approved item sets (MDS)
• Must be knowledgeable of and follow current CMS regulatory guidelines as described in RAI Manual.
• Complies with facility privacy policies and procedures and protects residents’ individual health information.
• Maintains Medicare meeting minutes per Medicare program agreement.
• Issues and delivers Medicare denial letters per CMS regulations.
• Assures appropriate management of residents’ Medicare/Insurance benefits.
• Maintains adequate systems to ensure appropriate documents are sufficient to support billed services.
• Other duties assigned by manager.

Shift is Monday-Friday 8a-4p and may include weekends. Can be an LPN or RN. Up to $50 an hour, depending on license and experience.
