Job description

RN License Required!
The MDS Coordinator has responsibility for ensuring the timely and accurate completion of all MDS assessments.
You will:
  1. Maintain the MDS schedule within stated time frames and inform Social Workers and the Education Director of pending assessments.
  2. Generate and distribute the monthly MDS calendar.
  3. Create new assessments according to the MDS schedule.
  4. Attend quarterly and annual MDS meetings as a nursing department representative.
  5. Generate annual nursing Kardex goals for the interdisciplinary care plan.
  6. Generate a hard copy of all MDS assessments and obtain signatures from all team members completing the assessments.
  7. Sign off on MDS assessments for completeness.
You currently:
  • Possess a current nursing license in good standing.
  • Be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices, procedures, laws, regulations, and guidelines pertaining to nursing care facilities.
