Job summary

Preferred Care At Old Bridge is seeking a qualified MDS Coordinator for a full-time position in Old Bridge, NJ. You will lead the resident assessment process (MDS/CAAs) and collaborate with nursing, dietary, social services, restorative, rehabilitation, and physician teams to ensure accurate reimbursement.

The ideal candidate holds a nursing degree and current licensure, with MDS/RAI experience, Medicare regulations knowledge, and strong management skills.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current/active nursing licensure.
• Prior MDS/RAI experience.
• Knowledge of Medicare regulations in skilled nursing.
• Management and leadership skills.
• Detail oriented and thorough.

Responsibilities

• Manage and complete the MDS/RAI process.

MDS COORDINATOR

Responsibilities

The MDS Coordinator is responsible for the Resident Assessment Process through completion of the Minimum Data Set (MDS) and the Care Area Assessments (CAAs). A generalized overview of responsibilities include:

• Management and completion of the RAI process targeting reimbursement and quality.
• Coordinate and integrate information from nursing, dietary, social services, restorative, rehabilitation, and physician services to ensure substantiated reimbursement.
• Tracking of all Medicare/Managed Medicare/Commercial MDS and conduct weekly utilization reviews.
• Schedule and completion of the OBRA assessments
