EquipmentShare is hiring a MDM (Master Data Management) Parts Specialist for our corporate office in Columbia, MO, to support our growing team.
Job Summary:
The MDM Parts Specialist is responsible for creating and maintaining master data for parts and components within EquipmentShare. This role ensures data accuracy and consistency across systems, supporting supply chain, inventory, procurement, and production planning. The specialist will collaborate with Procurement, Supply Chain, and Product Development teams to manage part data lifecycle, improve quality, and implement data governance best practices.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Data Management & Maintenance:
- Ensure accurate creation, updating, and maintenance of part master data in the MDM system.
- Validate specifications, classifications, and categorization for data integrity.
- Maintain consistency across systems like ERP and PLM.
- Data Governance:
- Implement and follow data governance policies.
- Support data quality initiatives and ensure adherence to standards.
- Resolve data discrepancies to ensure organizational compliance.
- Collaboration & Support:
- Act as liaison between departments for part data issues.
- Work with IT to enhance MDM system functionality.
- Provide training on MDM tools and processes.
- Process Optimization & Improvement:
- Identify and implement process improvements.
- Develop SOPs for data handling.
- Recommend best practices to reduce errors.
- Reporting & Analytics:
- Generate reports on data quality and accuracy.
- Analyze data trends for decision support.
- Monitor KPIs related to master data.
- Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Coordinate with procurement and supply chain teams.
- Standardize parts classification for operational consistency.
- Data Integration & System Support:
- Support system integrations and upgrades.
- Participate in data cleansing projects.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in MS Office and data analysis tools.
- Experience with ERP and PLM systems.
- Knowledge of data integration and database management.
- Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Education and Experience:
- Up to 2 years in Master Data Management, Supply Chain, or related fields.
- Experience with MDM platforms like SAP, Oracle, Informatica, etc.
- Knowledge of parts classification and data governance principles.
- High school diploma or equivalent; certifications like DGI or CDMP are a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged sitting and computer work.
- Occasional travel for projects or training.
