Job summary

Global Payments is seeking a seasoned Master Data Management Data Steward to safeguard the accuracy and integrity of customer master data. You will verify entities, supervise data‑matching workflows, and ensure adherence to enterprise data quality and governance standards across the organization.

You will collaborate with business, technology, and compliance stakeholders to define data definitions, business rules, and end‑to‑end data lifecycle processes, while driving improvements in matching

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Management, Quantitative Analytics, Data Science, or a similar discipline.
• 6–8+ years of experience in data stewardship, governance, master data management, or a similar data‑focused role.
• Familiarity with data governance policies, data lifecycle management, and regulatory requirements impacting Customer data.
• Experience with MDM technologies such as Informatica MDM, Informatica Customer 360, Reltio, or similar master data platforms (preferred).
• Familiarity with data‑matching algorithms, survivorship rules, data quality concepts, and entity resolution processes.
• Strong understanding of Customer data structures, entity relationships, and master data workflows.
• Detail‑oriented with the ability to review and validate data with high accuracy.
• Ability to apply critical thinking and independent judgment when verifying business entities and evaluating conflicting information.
• Strong problem‑solving, analytical, and research skills for resolving master data issues.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and make decisions within defined stewardship procedures.

Responsibilities

• Verify business entities within the Customer data domain to ensure accuracy and alignment with definitions.
• Oversee automated data‑matching workflows and manually validate records when confidence is low.
• Review legal names, DBA names, and addresses to confirm whether matched records are the same entity.
• Establish and follow verification/approval processes; manually approve or reject matches.
• Conduct additional research using online resources to validate entities.
• Document decisions to ensure traceability and data quality support.
• Provide insights to improve automated matching logic and workflows.
• Monitor master data quality, initiate corrective actions when issues arise.
• Identify data quality gaps and work with teams to remediate.
• Maintain metadata, data lineage, and governance artifacts.
